BIRTHDAY PARTIES

Our birthday parties cater for a minimum of 10 children aged between 5-14 years. If you have less than this in attendance you would still be charged for the minimum.

You are welcome to bring in decorations for your event such as tablecloths or table decorations, however we are unable to permit helium balloons or any form of confetti.

For our Birthday Skate Package, we provide you with a table to place your belongings on directly beside the rink. You will have 1 bench seat with the table, however we also have a large grandstand area should any of your guests need more space to sit down.

We have our Iceworld™ Rink Guards on the ice to supervise everyone for the duration of the session.

To ensure that you and your guests get the most out of your visit, we aim to serve your platters within the first 45-minutes of the session, and we recommend cutting your cake shortly after. This allows you and your guests plenty of time to keep skating until the session ends.

We do ask for the party area to be cleared promptly at the end of the session, allowing our venue staff time to clean and reset the area for the next session.

You and your guests are able to purchase food from our coffeeshop throughout the session.

We do offer platter options as an add-on to our Birthday Party packages. Order platters at the time of booking or alternatively email boondall@iceworld.com.au or bookings@iceworld.com.au and we are able to add your platter order to your existing booking with a minimum of 72 hours’ notice.

Our bookings team and venue staff are able to adjust your booking as required in the lead up to your event, so if you’d like to add additional children or platters to your booking please get in touch with us to make these changes. Additional payment can be charged to the card used for your initial booking.

If you have less than your booked numbers in attendance on the day, please request a Refund Consideration Form from our venue staff.

If you’re not sure exactly how many kids will attend your party, we recommend booking in for our minimum number of 10 kids and increasing your booked numbers as you receive your RSVPs.

For adjustments to your booking, we do ask that you provide at least 72 hours’ notice of any changes so that we are able to ensure we are adequately prepared for your event. If any last-minute changes do occur, please contact Iceworld™ Boondall directly with as much notice as possible and we will do our best to accommodate. We are not able to guarantee entry to anyone not included in your booking or a booking of their own.

You are welcome to bring in a birthday cake or cupcakes for your event! If these require refrigeration, please let our staff know upon your arrival and they will be able to assist you.

Please note that we are unable to permit any other outside food and drink inside the facility.

We do offer a variety of dietary options with our available platters, however please note that we are a kitchen that handles a variety of allergens so we are unable to guarantee the absence of cross contamination. We do permit safe food to be provided for those with severe allergies, with written permission from management. Please get in contact with Iceworld™ Boondall in advance of your visit for approval.

The more the merrier! Should any of your guests’ want to make it a day out for the entire family, they are able to book themselves into the desired public session via our online booking system.

Any parents just coming along to watch? We maintain a strict venue capacity so please book in as a spectator, completely FREE!

The minimum age permitted to ice skate is 3 years old.

Penguins are available for hire on the day and can’t be reserved in advance. Please speak to the venue staff upon your arrival regarding penguin hire.

Penguins are an additional cost of $5 each.

Iceworld™ recommends all skaters wear a well-fitted bike, ice hockey or ski helmet, as per our Conditions of Entry. Don’t worry if you’ve forgotten your own, we have helmets available for you to borrow! We hold a limited stock of helmets in the below sizes.

Our birthday party packages are offered exclusively at Iceworld™ Boondall and are not available at Iceworld™ Acacia Ridge.

Birthday parties are generally unavailable during our All Abilities Sessions.

We understand that some celebrations may include guests with specific accessibility needs. Special consideration may be given where a birthday child, guest, sibling or parent uses a wheelchair and would like to participate on the ice.

Requests are assessed on a case-by-case basis by our Bookings Team. A minimum of 7 days’ notice is required. To enquire, please contact bookings@iceworld.com.au.
