Ice Skating Queensland is committed to keeping everyone safe from harm. We have several policies that aim to reduce risk and safeguard anyone engaged in our sport or visiting our venues, and we prioritise the wellbeing children and young people.
Reporting Avenues for Misconduct
- Dial 000 – if you suspect or know a child is in immediate danger or in a life-threatening situation.
- Phone Policelink on 13 14 44 – to report sexual offending against a child by an adult. A child means a person under 16 years of age.
- Phone Qld Child Safety Services on 1300 682 254 – if you suspect a child is experiencing harm or abuse or is at risk of being neglected.
Support Services
- Phone Kids Helpline 1800 55 1800 – offers free webchat or phone counselling for young people aged between 5 and 25 and available 24/7.
- Phone 1800RESPECT or visit online – a 24/7 free counselling and support service for people impacted by domestic, family or sexual violence.

Ice Skating Queensland has adopted Ice Skating Australia’s National Integrity policies, which include Member Protection Policy and Safeguarding Children & Young People Policy. All ISQ Members agree to be bound by and comply with these Policies. One of the benefits of aligning with this National Framework is being able to utilise Sport Integrity Australia to provide trained professionals to triage your concerns. so please report any behaviour that you suspect is in breach of any of these policies.
- Phone Sport Integrity Australia hotline 1300 027 232 or visit online – to lodge a complaint for any inappropriate behaviour within our sport that you or your child may have experienced.
- Contact ISQ’s Complaints Officer or Sport Administrator – to lodge a complaint for any conduct of an ISQ Member that is against our Member Protection Policy.
