Iceworld™ Introduces Complimentary Helmets for Customers
Commencing this week, helmets will be available for use at all Iceworld™ venues to support our recommendation that a helmet be worn by all Skaters to reduce the severity of head injuries, including concussion. While we have not experienced any recent major incident or increase in head injuries being reported, this move aims to support skaters wishing to take that extra precaution.
Skaters are encouraged to bring their own well-fitted bike or skate helmet, ice hockey helmet or ski helmet. However, if skaters forget or don’t own a helmet, Iceworld now provides helmets as part of the entry fee. The complimentary helmets available come in three, adjustable sizes, from small (50cm-54cm) to large (58-62cm).
If any Skater elects not to wear a helmet, the Skater voluntarily accepts all risks associated with that election and Iceworld™ will not be liable for any injuries resulting directly or indirectly from that election. Our Conditions of Entry have been updated to reflect this new, complimentary service, and are published online here.
If you wish to learn more about concussion, we recommend visiting concussioninsport.gov.au, a resource collated and provided by the Australian Institute of Sport.
Thank you for supporting our efforts to prioritise the safety of our skating community.
