Skating is for Everyone! Join our Iceworld™ Disability Sessions

We offer a 45-min Disability Session at both Iceworld™ Olympic Ice Rinks. These sessions are offered on Thursdays and Fridays at both Iceworld™ Acacia Ridge and Iceworld™ Boondall during the Queensland school term. Online bookings are a must for these sessions as they do operate with a reduced ice capacity to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all participants.

These exclusive sessions are offered for people with any disability, including manual wheelchair and powerchair users, to hopefully discover a newfound way of movement and expression. Manual wheelchair users will need a buddy who is comfortable on the ice to do the honours of gliding the wheelchair around the rink.

Iceworld™ Olympic Ice Rinks honour the Queensland Government Companion Card, allowing free entry for anyone accompanying a person with a disability who requires attendant care support.

Did you know? Iceworld™ Boondall is home to Para Ice Hockey Queensland. This Paralympic sport is open to people with and without mobility impairments. Learn more here.
